Delta Nu Alpha is an international organization for transportation and logistics professionals. Beyond emphasizing education, financial assistance and mentoring for students, the organization also provides continuing education opportunities for those already in the workforce. Delta Nu Alpha chapters operate in locales all across the continent of North America, including Toronto.
The Toronto chapter is sponsoring a dinner and panel presentation addressing “Emerging Technology in the Canadian Transportation Industry.” The panel will address the following key questions:
• Will the Uber model disrupt the Canadian trucking industry?
• Who are the companies in Canada providing tech solutions?
• Will there be one dominant winner (i.e., taxi industry)?
• What is the void that these new tech startups are trying to fill?
• Should carriers/brokers be worried or embrace the new technology?
• How can shippers start utilizing this technology today?
Lyall Cresswell, founder and CEO of CX North America, a leader in freight collaboration and communication solutions for the transportation industry headquartered in Tecumseh, Ontario, will be a panel member at the event. He will be joined by fellow panel members Aaron Lalvani, Senior Director of Business Development, RADAR-Blackberry, and Justin Bailie, president and co-founder, Rose Rocket. Joel MacKay, president and owner of Mactrans Logistics Inc., will serve as the panel moderator.
