The Exchange improves relationships between partners and members
Haulage Exchange’s freight trading platform has been ongoing for almost fifteen years now, but since implementing telematics, it’s been able to take things to a whole new level. Thanks to partners like Navman Wireless, it’s been able to offer up to date and to the minute tracking of packages and cargo throughout its network of drivers and on top of that, integrate already existing telematics offerings with its own service.
Ultimately, it’s about making the haulage business less luck based. That’s the key point Blue Whale Logistics’ John Adams made when we asked about his experience with Haulage Exchange.
“In the haulage business, you hear people talking about how they got a nice long job, and then another one comes in collecting nearby and going in the same direction. That is the element of luck,” he said. “But if you are a courier and haulage business that is not fully utilising your fleet capacity, using vehicle tracking with the freight exchange platform is a much easier and a more reliable way to make sure you are in the right place at the right time.”
But the benefits don’t just cover the Exchange members, there’s been a significant boon to telematics partners too.
“We have an excellent working relationship and through it we’ve both generated new business, for us and our customers,” said European Business Development Manager at Navman Wireless, John Merrill.
Haulage Exchange is paving the way for collaborative business that is seeing multiple businesses, regardless of whether they’re members or high profile partners, increase their profit margins and offer a better service to their customers.
