Integration is driving business growth for GO2DAY

Century PR - Go 2Day LtdHaulage Exchange has always been a great tool to help businesses expand and make deliveries more efficient by trading vehicle capacity and loads with other companies, it was only when it began integrating telematics that the product reached a new level.

Thanks to third party telematics data, the Exchange has been able to offer vehicle tracking and load matching on one live map, which makes it easier than ever to find other firms to trade freight with and keep track of all the usual telematics statistics that can make the technology so versatile in the right hands.

One company that’s made great use of the telematics integration is the Merseyside based Go2Day Ltd.

Founder Andy Littlewood recently took the decision to try the new integration between the Exchange and TomTom Telematics’ WEBFLEET system, which was already in use in all of its 3.5-tonne curtain side and tail lift vans.

“We recognise the benefits of both TomTom Telematics WEBFLEET     and the Exchange, so it made sense to make the most real-time tracking data to help make the most of our vehicles,” explained owner Andy.

“We now have complete visibility of our vehicles through the Exchange in terms of location, status and availability, which helps boost revenue.”

The Exchange and its vetting procedure also brings Andy peace of mind, knowing that on the Exchange he will work with trusted, fully compliant businesses.

“If you are delivering a “line-stopper” consignment to an automotive company, for example, you don’t want to sub-contract that job out to someone unknown,” said Andy.

“If you hold up a production line for even three or four minutes, it’s your reputation that’s on the line.”

The Transport Exchange Group’s freight trading system is designed to give power to drivers and companies to make the most of their business.
