New ‘Booking Chain’ solution makes jobs transparent
Transport Exchange Group has launched its new booking chain solution on its leading freight exchanges, Haulage and Courier Exchange, to provide member businesses with an improved way of managing and updating the status of loads when they carry out work on each other’s behalf.
As a result, hauliers, couriers and logistics operators are now able to better monitor the complete lifecycle of inter-company transactions by automatically sharing key details with their trading partners in order to save time and money, improve confidence levels as well as boosting operational performance.
This new features enables companies to quickly allocate jobs to another member or even a regular sub-contractor. It simplifies and enhances booking processes via the freight trading platform by providing added functionality to manage the flow of order, status and proof of delivery information to relevant stakeholders. The information can also now be integrated into any existing TMS used by member companies through a new API.
Automatic updates can now also be set up for any booking – these are circulated throughout the booking chain so that all involved parties have complete visibility of a current job status.
The updates can be sent as emails, at a frequency specified by both the supplier and sub-contractor, to communicate relevant information including current vehicle and consignment location, for the duration of any individual booking.
