New Exchange features launched to increase visibility and control
Transport Exchange Group has recently introduced two new features to its Exchange platform to provide greater control of multi-depot activity and improve the accuracy of available vehicle capacity published on the Exchange.
The Vehicle Activity Management dashboard displays key vehicle data drawn from both Transport Exchange Group’s mobile app and also integrated partner third-party tracking systems. Members using the dashboard are able to view and update fleet visibility, destination data and availability status as it appears on the Exchange in a single screen, including scenarios where there are multiple tracking systems in use within a mixed fleet.
The Depotlink tool enables members of Haulage Exchange and Courier Exchange that operate multiple sites to switch seamlessly between these accounts, giving a single management overview to authorised users. Meanwhile, the Vehicle Activity Management dashboard allows members to simply and effectively update the location and availability status of all mobile resources, including both company-owned and sub-contracted vehicles.
Depotlink has been designed to provide a management overview for central planning offices that need to observe the operational performance and trading activity of their depots without wasting time constantly logging in and out of different accounts. Authorised users are able to quickly switch between their linked accounts using a dropdown menu, saving time and providing added management control.
Enhanced privacy control has also been introduced that enables users to select who is permitted to see each vehicle location along with the ability to publish vehicle location and status to pre-determined groups of users. This added functionality provides complete control over exactly what information is communicated to other member businesses.
Lyall Cresswell, Managing Director of Transport Exchange Group said: “Our forward-thinking approach means we are committed to continuous improvement through ongoing investment in technology and software innovations. As a result, we are helping to tackle some of the most common and difficult challenges facing couriers, owner drivers, hauliers, freight forwarders and logistics providers in the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe, including driving up the rate of vehicle utilisation within the industry for mutual gain. These latest developments will enable our members to better manage their businesses and maximise the performance of their resources.”
