Speedy Freight show their miles at the 2014 Transport Awards
A KNUTSFORD-based business has been recognised for their success over the past year by receiving the Network of the Year Award.
Speedy Freight, a same-day courier and express freight service provider based in the Pavillions, off Cranford Drive, scooped the award, during the Annual Transport Awards event organised by Transport Exchange Group, which celebrates major achievements and best practice within the freight industry.
Speedy Freight’s William Timpany and Philip Dunn were presented with the award by John Merrill from Navman Wireless at the ceremony that took place in Kenilworth, Warwickshire at the Chesford Grange Hotel on 22nd March, in front of over 300 business leaders and industry professionals.
The company received the award in recognition of their outstanding achievement in terms of customer service, operational performance and delivery.
William Timpany, national franchise manager at Speedy Freight, said: “We are honoured to have been recognised with this award. The twelfth Transport Awards, that has been organised by Transport Exchange Group, the operator of the largest and fastest-growing freight exchanges within the UK and Europe.
The annual event celebrates the greatest achievements of the year 2014 amongst almost 3,000 courier and haulage member businesses.
